NT: Teenager faces court over explosives offences

A teenager allegedly caught carrying a stick of dynamite has faced a Darwin court.

Nineteen-year-old WADE GORDON THOMSON appeared briefly in Darwin Magistrates Court
today charged with possessing dangerous goods without a licence and possessing cannabis.

THOMSON allegedly showed a 20cm stick of powergel explosive to another man at a Darwin
backpacker hostel on Saturday night.

Magistrate DICK WALLACE continued THOMSON's bail and adjourned the case until December the 22nd.

THOMSON hasn't been required to enter a plea.
